ACC Preseason Media Selects U of Miami to Win Coastal Division

Published

ACC preseason media has selected Miami to win the Coastal Division this year. Life Wallet supports the valid optimism as it relates to the 2022 Miami Hurricanes. Coach Cristobal has brought together an impressive coaching staff and Miami returns plenty of talent from the 2021 team, including Life Wallet athlete Tyler Van Dyke. Van Dyke is already earning first round draft pick projections for the 2023 NFL Draft. Additionally, Cristobal strengthened the team with strong NCAA Transfer Portal players to increase the competition level on the team.

Quarterback strengths include the dynamic duo of Van Dyke and Life Wallet athlete Jake Garcia. Van Dyke as the starter and leader for the 2022 Hurricanes will mentor Garcia who chose to stay at UM and wait for his opportunity. Miami arguably has one of the best quarterback situations in 2022.

Additional Life Wallet athletes who round out the strength of the 2022 Hurricanes offense include running backs Jaylan Knighton and Henry Parrish. Knighton is a flash who is dangerous in open space and Parrish is a transfer from Ole Miss plays with great vision and patience. Include Life Wallet wide receivers Key’Shawn Smith, Romello Brinson, Frank Ladson Jr., Jacolby George, Xavier Restrepo and Brashard Smith who all can step up and get the job done on offense in 2022.

Rounding out the offense are Life Wallet athlete tight ends Will Mallory and Elijah Arroyo. Mallory is one of the most experienced tight ends in the country and Arroyo is gifted in the run game, blocking and catching. True freshman Jaleel Skinner rounds out the best tight end group in the country.

An extremely well rounded and gifted offensive line include Life Wallet athletes Zion Nelson, John Campbell, Justice Oluwaseun, Jalen Rivers, Jakai Clark, Logan Sagapolu and Michael McLaughlin. This group, with the execution of Cristobal’s and Mirabal’s techniques will be one of the better offensive lines in the ACC in 2022.

Life Wallet also recognizes the strength of our athletes on the defensive side of the ball. Life Wallet defensive linemen to watch include Mitchell Agude, Nyjalik Kelly, Elijah Roberts, Darrell Jackson, Jake Lichtenstein, Jordon Miller, Jared Harrison-Hunte, Akheem Mesidor, Leonard Taylor, Jahfari Harvey and Chantz Williams. This defensive line, with the transfer additions will be much improved and competitive.

Our Life Wallet athlete linebackers bring strength and experience as they continue to develop this year under the new defensive scheme and include Waymon Steed, Keontra Smith, Chase Smith, Caleb Johnson and Wesley Bisssainthe. This group will strengthen throughout the season and battle together for wins.

A strong Life Wallet athlete secondary are another reason Miami will win the Coastal Division. With great depth and versatility, Miami’s secondary will be the strongest in the ACC and include Life Wallet athletes Tyrique Stevenson, DJ Ivey, James Williams, Al Blades Jr., Avantae Williams, Kamran Kinchens, Te’Cory Couch and Marcus Clarke.  The talent and depth in this secondary will put Miami in the best position to execute wins.

Life Wallet congratulates all our athletes and supports the win of the ACC Coastal Division. Go Canes!
