Rutgers Lands Four-Star WR/TE KJ Duff

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have gotten a massive addition to their 2024 recruiting class with the commitment of four star prospect KJ Duff. The 6’6-210lb weapon out of St. Anthony’s High School in New York is the highest rated commit for Rutgers since 2022 and is a player that can make an immediate impact for Greg Schiano and the Knights offense.

Duff is a late riser that blew up over the offseason as more people were able to get eyes on the athletic, big bodied pass catcher during the camp and 7on7 circuit. The top prospect from the Empire State racked up over 20 offers this offseason and became one of the more sought after recruits after MVP performances at both the Rivals and Under Armor Camps. Duff also showcased his talents with Raw Miami 7v7 where he proved he was a mismatch nightmare against some of the top defenders in the nation.

After considering a number of schools including UCF, Syracuse and Miami, Duff narrowed his list down to a top two of Rutgers and UNC. The dynamic pass catcher took official visits to both of his final two schools in early June before coming to a decision and ultimately deciding to play for the Scarlet Knights.Rutgers is one of the schools that had been recruiting Duff the hardest from the start and that relationship along with its close proximity to home helped the Knights keep his talents in the northeast.

Duff will bring a unique skillset to the Rutgers offense with his size and athleticism. At 6’6-210, Duff is too big for most corners to cover, but has the speed and route running to outmatch most linebackers. The talented flex will look to add weight and improve his blocking and physicality at the next level, but his size and ability as a pass catcher will make him an immediate asset to the Scarlet Knights.
