El reclutamiento de los Canes, a punto de estallar

Miami has initiated the 2025 recruiting cycle with considerable momentum. At the forefront, they have secured their “QB1,” the standout Georgia product, Luke Nickel. Nickel’s performance at the Battle 7v7 was so impressive that the seasoned high school recruiting analyst, Larry Blustein, declared him one of the top five quarterbacks in the country for the 2025 class. Miami boasts five commitments from blue-chip-caliber players such as Elijah Melendez, Girard Pringle Jr., and Waden Charles, marking a significant head start compared to last year. Last year, Miami’s recruiting surge occurred from August to early Signing Day in December, struggling to gain momentum in the spring and summer. The 2025 cycle represents a stark contrast, with Miami expected to secure a flurry of commitments before June. It wouldn’t be surprising if Miami ended with 12-15 commitments by June. The following prospects have a strong likelihood to join Miami’s class in the next two months:

Tarvos “TJ” Alford- LB
Caught in a battle between Miami and Ohio State, Alford’s recruitment has become a toss-up. Despite Ohio State’s early lead, Miami has made significant inroads over the past month. The Vero Beach standout is expected to announce his decision on Saturday, March 30th. Even if Miami doesn’t secure his commitment, they plan to continue their recruitment efforts until signing day.
Probability: 5

Randy Adirika- DL
Miami is keen on the Central high defensive tackle and has made his recruitment a priority, a sentiment that Adirika reciprocates. His commitment could be imminent in the coming month.
Probability: 7

Floyd Boucard- DL
Another target from Central, Boucard, a Canadian native, has garnered interest from Miami, alongside offers from notable programs. Following his transfer to Miami Central, his recruitment has been closely watched by Miami, which is considered a frontrunner. Probability: 5

Cortez Mills- WR
As a highly regarded wide receiver, Mills’ interest in Miami places them in a leading position for his commitment. His addition would significantly bolster Miami’s receiving corps.
Probability: 7

Dallas Wilson- WR
Currently committed to Oregon, Wilson, a sought-after wide receiver from Tampa, has shown considerable interest in Miami. The communication between him and Miami suggests a potential flip.
Probability: 6

Tyler Williams-WR
A top priority for Miami, Williams, a Sumner High wide receiver, has visited Miami multiple times, signaling strong mutual interest.
Probability: 6

Byron Louis, Ousmane Kromah, Alvin Henderson- RB
With Pringle Jr.’s commitment, Miami has one running back spot remaining. The team is interested in all three prospects, with a first-come, first-serve approach likely determining the final commitment.
Probability: 5

Chris Ewald Jr- DB
Among the top cornerbacks on Miami’s board, Ewald’s commitment could see him become a key ambassador for this class.
Probability: 8

Ben Hanks Jr- DB

A Florida legacy, Hanks Jr.’s interest from both sides underscores his potential impact on Miami’s defense. If Mills commits that would give Miami two blue chippers in Charles and Mills putting pressure on the rest of the board as only a couple more spots will be available. I expect Miami to close this recruitment in the next couple of months.
Probability: 7

Amari Wallace- S
Rated as one of the nation’s best safeties, Wallace’s commitment to Miami appears highly likely, reflecting the program’s focused recruitment. They have identified Wallace as a priority and one of the cornerstone players of this class.
Probability: 8

Solomon Thomas- OL

Despite his commitment to FSU, Thomas remains a top target for Miami’s offensive line, with the Canes’ offensive line transformation under Cristobal and Mirabal making them strong contenders for his flip. I see this recruitment playing out like Dallas Wilson with Oregon, with FSU losing ground and an eventual flip to the Canes.
Probability: 6

In addition to these prospects, Miami is actively recruiting other notable names like Brock Schott, Gavin Nix, Jamie Ffrench, Hayden Bradley, DJ Pickett, and SeuSeu“SJ” Alofaituli with commitments expected post-summer. Miami’s aggressive recruitment strategy is paying off and if the team can win on the field, I expect Miami to finish with a top two class in the nation.
