Miami Hurricanes’ All-American Safety Kam Kinchens is one of seven star athletes to sign an NIL deal with ‘The Rock’ to promote his energy drink, ZOA. Kinchens is joined by Angel Reese, Brock Bowers, Drake Maye, Hansel Emmanuel, Amaya Gainer, and Marvin Harrison Jr. as the first seven college athletes to be a part of this deal. The deal was brokered by ESM and brings together one of the biggest names in sports and entertainment with some of the top college athletes across multiple sports.
This group of athletes will be known as ‘The Rock’s Warriors’ and will lead a marketing campaign for the fast-growing energy drink company. These seven athletes will create social media content and participate in regional marketing campaigns to push retail sails of this newly improved “clean and healthy” performance beverage.
This partnership with ZOA is just the latest of deals signed by Kinchens whose All-American status on the field has made him a hot commodity for brands off of it. According to a press release from ZOA, “Each athlete was carefully chosen by Johnson for their optimism, enthusiasm, and commitment to striving for something bigger.” Dwayne Johnson, the co-founder and ‘Chief Energy Officer’ of ZOA, played for the Canes in the early 1990’s so being able to sign a current Miami football star was an enticing part of this deal.
Kinchens has certainly capitalized on his on-field success, signing deals with LifeWallet, HEYDUDE, ZOA and more. The talented safety will be looking to build on his incredible sophomore season and is projected by many to be a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
