#15 Kentucky vs #5 Vanderbilt
The biggest matchup of the weekend in college baseball is an SEC battle between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Vanderbilt Commodores. Both the Wildcats and the Commodores were considered as national title contenders a few weeks ago but have both been in a rut as of late. The Wildcats have lost three out of their last four games and were shutout 7-0 in their most recent game against the Louisville Cardinals. Vanderbilt has managed to look even worse than Kentucky over the past week. The Commodores have lost their last four games and were outscored 41-11 over that span. Both teams will be looking to get back on track and regain their early season form as postseason play creeps closer.
#20 Duke vs #13 Virginia
The Duke Blue Devils are red hot as they head to Charlottesville for a big time ACC matchup with the Virginia Cavaliers. Duke has won seven straight games and nine of their last ten while playing three top-15 opponents during that stretch. The Blue Devils will be facing a tough task as they walk into Virginia Credit Union Stadium where UVA has been nearly unbeatable. Virginia is 25-2 at home on the season with both of their losses coming in a series against Pittsburgh earlier this month. This three-game series will have huge implications in the ACC as Duke and Virginia currently sit first and second in the ACCCoastal. First pitch will take place Friday night at 8:00pm on the ACC Network.
#17 Arizona State vs #23 Oregon
A massive Pac-12 series will be taking place over on the west coast this weekend as the Arizona State Sun Devils travel to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks. Oregon is riding a three-game winning streak and will have home field advantage for this three-game series. Arizona State will be looking to bounce back after dropping their last game to Cal State Fullerton. ASU has struggled on the road and will be looking to buck that trend this weekend. The Sun Devils are 20-5 at home but just 8-8 on the road. ASU will be trying to maintain their slim lead over Stanford and Oregon at the top of the Pac-12 standings. The series will get started at 5:05 PM pacific time and will be available through the Oregon sports live stream.
