LifeWallet athletes and University of Miami basketball teammates Isaiah Wong, Norchad Omier and Jordan Miller earned National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District accolades. The first ever occurrence in Hurricanes basketball history, where three players were elected to All-District 2 honors.

Isaiah Wong was nominated to NABC First Team All-District 2 status, while Jordan Miller and Norchad Omier were chosen for NABC Second Team All-District 2 honors.

Miami is one of only five schools in the country to receive three all-district selections, the other four schools being Houston (District 24), Iona (District 1), Southern Miss (District 23) and Tulane (District 24).

The selections are voted on by coaches within District 2. For 16th/15th ranked Miami (25-7, 15-5 ACC), the District includes all 15 schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The ACC Player of the Year, Isaiah Wong leads the Hurricanes in points (16.2) assists (3.4) and steals (1.4) per game, in addition to grabbing 4.3 rebounds per outing. A finalist for three collegiate basketball awards in the John R. Wooden, Lute Olson and the Jerry West Awards, Wong is shooting 45.3 percent from the floor, 37.8 percent from beyond three and 83.6 percent at the foul line.

Norchad Omier, a Third Team All-ACC honoree and a Karl Malone Award Top-10 Candidate, has averaged 13.6 points points per game and a team-leading 9.7 rebounds per contest, in addition to shooting a team-high 59.1 field goal percentage and recording 14 double-doubles this season.

Miller, a Second Team All-ACC and ACC All-Tournament Second Team honoree, averages 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, including a 54.1 shooting percentage from the floor, all of which rank Miller top-two among the Canes’ roster.

Wong, Omier, Miller and the fifth-seeded Hurricanes begin their March Madness run on Friday at 7:25 P.M. EST, when they take on 12th-seeded Drake University at MVP Arena in Albany, New York. The first round matchup will broadcast on the TBS Network.
