The Miami Hurricanes recruiting momentum continues to build as they have secured their third offensive line commitment for the 2025 class. Three-star offensive tackle Jaden Wilkerson from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, announced his decision to join the Canes, choosing them over offers from Rutgers and Syracuse.
Wilkerson, a towering prospect at 6’6” and 330 pounds, is an imposing figure on the field. His athleticism and ability to carry his size make him a standout player. Wilkerson is a true 6’5” and 320+ pound athlete, whose potential in the Canes’ strength and conditioning program is enormous. In fact, with two years under the guidance of Miami’s staff, he could develop into an NFL-caliber offensive tackle from a physical standpoint.
Head Coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal have a particular appreciation for dual-sport athletes like Wilkerson, who also played basketball in high school. This multi-sport background often translates to greater mobility and nimbleness, qualities highly valued in offensive linemen.
Wilkerson’s transition to Miami will be critical for his development. Coming from a high school with below-average competition, he will face a significant jump in the level of play at a Power 5 program like Miami. Fortunately, he won’t be thrust into a starting role immediately. While Wilkerson already passes the “eye test” physically, he will need to build his strength and adapt to the higher competition level, a process the Canes are prepared to support.
With Wilkerson’s commitment, Miami has secured its third offensive line target and the second tackle in as many days. The focus will now shift to finishing the offensive line class by targeting interior linemen. Miami’s recruiting momentum is anticipated to carry into July as key Canes targets begin finalizing their decisions.
