PoetrYY Finance has made a splash in the world of college athletics with the announcement of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) endorsement deals featuring two outstanding college football talents: Kamren Kinchens and Dallas Turner. These two players have not only excelled on the gridiron but have also demonstrated their marketability off the field.
Kamren Kinchens, a standout safety for the Miami Hurricanes and a South Florida native, first made a name for himself at Miami Northwestern High School, where he showcased his football prowess. Kinchens’ journey in college football has been nothing short of spectacular since donning the orange and green. An impactful starter as a freshman in 2021, Kinchens would take another leap in his sophomore campaign. He achieved the coveted title of AP (Associated Press) First-Team All-American during his sophomore year in 2022 and has continued to shine early on in the 2023 season. Despite a scary injury during Miami’s Week 2 clash with the then No. 23 ranked Texas A&M Aggies, Kinchens has displayed resilience and made a remarkable recovery. He is expected to return to the field soon. His stats for the 2023 season include 10 tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery in just one and a half games. The Hurricanes have also stormed into the 2023 season with a perfect 3-0 record, and they currently hold the No. 20 ranking in the AP top-25 polls.
However, Kinchens’ impact extends beyond the football field. Before the 2023 season, he signed another significant NIL deal, becoming an ambassador for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s ZOA Energy Drink brand. This partnership not only underscores Kinchens’ growing influence but also aligns him with a fellow University of Miami football alumnus, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, a renowned actor, producer, and former professional wrestler.
Dallas Turner, a linebacker for the Alabama Crimson Tide, is also making waves. Turner, another South Florida native, played his high school football at American Heritage Plantation before finishing his high school career at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Turner has rapidly established himself as a defensive force for the Crimson Tide since his freshman season in 2021 and even to date in the 2023 college football season as a junior. He has accumulated a stat line of 12 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in three games this year. The Crimson Tide, with a 2-1 record, currently hold the No. 13 ranking in the AP top-25 polls.
Both Kinchens and Turner were recognized as AP Preseason All-Americans for the 2023 college football season, a testament to their exceptional skills and dedication on the field.
Dallas Turner’s emphasis on aligning with companies that reflect his personal values as both an individual and an athlete is at the core of his approach to NIL deals. Turner expressed this sentiment, stating, “It’s crucial to me that the companies I partner with for NIL deals hold significance and align with who I am as a person and a player. The fact that PoetrYY is committed to offering services to HBCUs resonated deeply with me.”
PoetrYY Finance stands out as the sole banking platform dedicated to providing tailored solutions for collegiate NIL earners. In addition to offering debit and credit programs, PoetrYY equips athletes with powerful account management tools for tracking NIL agreements, provides essential financial literacy support, and assists in the establishment and growth of credit.
The partnership between Dallas Turner, Kamren Kinchens, and PoetrYY Finance was facilitated by the Rosenhaus Sports NIL division, which represented both accomplished athletes. NFL agent Ryan Matha, who led the negotiations, expressed the significance of this collaboration. He remarked, “This presents an incredible opportunity for both Dallas and Kam to join forces with a cutting-edge banking platform that’s leading the way in innovation. It also allows PoetrYY Finance to harness the NILs of two of college football’s brightest stars, who happen to hail from the same area where this digital fintech company is based. This agreement stands among the elite echelons of NIL deals and may very well be the pioneering instance where athletes represent a financial services software company tailored to the unique demographics of the NIL market.”
As part of the NIL deal, both Kinchens and Turner will take on roles as ambassadors for PoetrYY Finance, participating in diverse initiatives such as social media campaigns, public appearances, and engaging Chalk Talk events.
PoetrYY Finance distinguishes itself as a digital fintech company, eschewing conventional banking norms. Through a broad network of partnerships, PoetrYY extends a range of financial products and services while actively championing financial equality and inclusion, harnessing the potential of technology and innovation to drive meaningful change.
These NIL endorsement deals not only highlight the marketability of college athletes but also emphasize the exciting opportunities that await those who excel in their respective sports. PoetrYY Finance’s support for rising stars with South Florida roots like Kamren Kinchens and Dallas Turner is reshaping the landscape of college sports endorsements, offering new possibilities for student-athletes to shine both on and off the field.
