The Miami Hurricanes offered 2025 athlete Darryll Desir after his impressive showing at Miami’s offensive line/defensive line camp on June 8.

“I was just looking for competition, competing with all different types of guys and trying to be the best one at the camp,” Desir told LifeWallet Sports. “I feel like it went great.”

Following the camp, UM head coach Mario Cristobal brought Desir into his office and informed him about the offer.

“Mario had brought me into the head coach office, and he was explaining to me how Miami works, how the program … is a good fit for me,” Desir said.

Desir’s recruitment has heated up after his 29-tackle, seven-sack sophomore campaign at Miami Norland (Fla.). Since January, Desir has received offers from Central Florida, Maryland, Cincinnati, Illinois, Western Kentucky, Colorado and Georgia Tech, in addition to Miami.

Desir is an explosive, 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass rusher who can also defend the run. His best outing last season was a seven-tackle, three-sack performance against Monsignor Pace (Fla.). Expect him to be one of the defensive staples on a Norland team with state championship aspirations.
