On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlantic Coast Conference unveiled the 2024 football schedule for the Miami Hurricanes.
The Canes kick off their season on August 31st with a highly anticipated matchup against the Florida Gators, renewing a longstanding rivalry between bitter in-state foes. This game marks their first meeting since 2019 and their initial visit to Gainesville since 2008. The home opener at Hard Rock Stadium is scheduled for September 14th against the Florida A&M Rattlers, followed by a clash with the Ball State Cardinals on September 21st. The non-conference segment concludes with a game against an in-state opponent, the USF Bulls, on September 28th.
Atlantic Coast Conference action commences on Friday, September 27th, as Miami takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies at Hard Rock Stadium. Following this, the team embarks on a west coast road trip to face the California Golden Bears, a new conference member in the ACC, in their first regular season meeting since 1990. After a bye week, Miami resumes its travels and heads to Kentucky for a matchup against the Louisville Cardinals on October 19th.
Returning home on October 26th, the Canes host consecutive home games against the Florida State Seminoles and then the Duke Blue Devils on November 2nd. A road encounter with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on November 9th precedes another bye week, leading up to the home finale against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on November 23rd. The regular season concludes with a return trip to New York when the Hurricanes visit the Syracuse Orange on November 30th, marking Miami’s first trip to Syracuse in 22 years.
