The Atlantic Coast Conference unveiled its schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 men’s basketball season on Tuesday afternoon.
After a remarkable 2022-23 season that concluded with a 29-8 (15-5 ACC) record, a share of the ACC regular-season title, the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance, and a school-best No. 3 ranking in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, Miami has a packed 20-game conference slate. Among them are two “Big Monday” matchups and 12 games scheduled on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU during league play.
Miami’s head coach, Jim Larrañaga, commented, “The Atlantic Coast Conference is consistently one of the toughest leagues in America. The opportunity to compete against the best players and programs in the country is among the reasons why many of our players choose to attend Miami. We are excited, as always, to face such a strong lineup of conference opponents. Our incredible fan support played a pivotal role in our ACC regular-season title win last year, and we eagerly anticipate seeing the Watsco Center filled with energy once again this upcoming season.”
Miami’s ACC journey commences with a home game against Notre Dame on December 2 at noon on The CW, following five non-conference matchups. After the New Year, the Hurricanes dive into 19 consecutive ACC games.
In January 2024, Miami hosts Clemson on January 3 at 8 p.m. on ESPN, with their ACC road opener against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C., set for January 6 at 2:15 p.m. on The CW.
The team then faces three consecutive 7 p.m. games on ACC Network. The first is at home against Louisville on January 10, followed by a January 13 clash with Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. To round out the stretch, they take on Florida State in Coral Gables.
Miami’s next stop is Syracuse, N.Y., for a January 20 game with the exact time to be determined, broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU. In their first of two back-to-back road games, Larrañaga’s squad then plays at Notre Dame on January 24 at 7 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU in Notre Dame, Ind.
Returning home on January 27, Miami faces Pittsburgh at a time to be determined on The CW before ending the month with a visit to Raleigh, N.C., where they meet NC State in a 9 p.m. contest on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU on January 30.
Miami kicks off the second month of league play at home with a noon game on February 3 against Virginia Tech on ESPN or ESPN2. On February 5, they engage in a “Big Monday” showdown against Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN.
The defending ACC regular-season co-champions return to the Watsco Center to take on North Carolina in a 4 p.m. matchup on February 10, aired on ESPN or ESPN2. They then travel to Clemson, S.C., for a February 14 game against Clemson at 7 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
For the second part of their two-game road trip, Miami heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to face Boston College in a 4 p.m. game on February 17, broadcast on the ACC Network.
The Hurricanes come back to the Watsco Center for a February 21 matchup against Duke, with the action set for 7 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU. They follow it with a second consecutive home game on February 24 at 4 p.m. versus Georgia Tech on ACC Network.
To conclude the month, Miami travels to Chapel Hill, N.C., on February 26 for a “Big Monday” meeting with North Carolina at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
After a weekend bye and an eight-day gap without a game, the Hurricanes have their home finale on March 6 at 7 p.m. against Boston College on ESPNU. They conclude the regular season on March 9 at 4 p.m. against Florida State on ESPN2 from Tallahassee, Fla.
