In a crucial rubber match against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Miami Marlins were carried to victory by their struggling bullpen. In a tense match that saw both teams exchanging leads, the Marlins managed to clinch the game in the 10th inning with a clutch RBI single by Bryan De La Cruz.

The Marlins got off to a great start with an RBI single by De La Cruz, which scored Arraez and gave them an early 1-0 lead.

However, the Phillies fought back to tie the game in the bottom of the first inning with a single by Brandon Marsh that drove in Nick Catellanos. The Phillies took the lead in the bottom of the fifth with a Bryson Stott double, making it 2-1.

The Marlins refused to give up, and in the top of the eighth inning, Jorge Soler hit a solo home run to tie the game at 2-2.

The game remained tied until the top of the 10th inning, when De La Cruz once again stepped up to the plate and hit a crucial RBI single, driving in Nick Fortes and putting the Marlins ahead for good.

Marlins starter Edward Cabrera pitched five innings and allowed two earned runs, while the bullpen shut down the Phillies for the rest of the game. A. J Put got the win in relief, pitching two innings and striking out two batters without allowing a hit.

De La Cruz was the standout performer for the Marlins, going 3-5 with two RBI, while Soler also had a solid day at the plate, going 2-4.

With this victory, the Marlins move closer to .500 with a record of 6-7 for the year. They will look to continue their winning ways in a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks starting on Friday.
