Paramus Catholic (N.J.) offensive lineman Malachi Goodman received an offer from Miami on May 25, but the 2025 prospect was already very familiar with the Hurricanes because of his offensive line teammate Juan Minaya, who committed to UM on April 18.

“[Minaya talks about Miami] a lot, almost every day,” Goodman told LifeWallet Sports. “He tells me it’s a great place. He loves it. He tells me good things about it all the time.”

Goodman received his Miami offer from offensive line coach Alex Mirabal, who watched Goodman work out.

“I know that they have a great organization, great program, great [offensive line] coaches, just a great coaching staff in general,” Goodman said about Miami.

This offer from the ‘Canes capped off what was an exciting week for Goodman.

From May 21-25, Goodman received all six of his Division I offers. Nebraska was the school that started this streak.

“I was doing a workout. Our team, we have workouts and stuff like that, and coaches come down a lot. This was like a closed workout or whatever for spring ball, [Nebraska running backs coach E.J. Barthel] talked to my head coach and told me that I got the offer,” Goodman said about his offer from the Cornhuskers. “I was excited. I was happy, from a Big Ten college.”

Goodman has also received offers from Michigan, Boston College, Massachusetts and Marshall.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman started the last five games of his sophomore campaign. Goodman describes his game as aggressive and says that he wants to improve the quickness of his feet this offseason.
