Kamren Kinchens had a game against Georgia Tech which most fans will remember and earned him the honor of ACC defensive back of the week. Congratulations to our LifeWallet Sports athlete Kam Kinchens on this well-deserved honor.
Kinchens is a 5-foot-11, 202-pound sophomore from Miami who tied a program record with a team-high eight tackles and three-interceptions. Kinchens is now the fourth player in the nation to have at least three interceptions in a game this year and the first Hurricane since Kenny Phillips did it in 2006. In all, Kinchens is the twelfth Hurricane in school history to snag three interceptions in a game.
Kinchens added a 99-yard pick six to the game against Georgia Tech which is the second-longest return in University of Miami football history. Kinchens six interceptions this year are the most by a Hurricane in seven seasons and he only trails the great Sean Taylor (10) on Miami’s single season interception list.
LifeWallet Sports congratulates Kamren Kinchens on this award, his amazing season and all of the eight LifeWallet Sports athletes who have been awarded ACC Player of the Week this year.
