Jazz Chisholm Jr. took center stage this past weekend at LoanDepot Park as he powered the Miami Marlins toward a potential playoff berth, leaving fans roaring with excitement. Chisholm’s remarkable performance played a monumental role in the Marlins’ recent success, with his contributions stealing the spotlight.

During an 11-5 victory over the Atlanta Braves in the second game of the series, Chisholm exhibited his power at the plate. His momentous display began with a go-ahead two-run homer that set the tone for the evening. However, it was his grand slam in the eighth inning that secured the win for the fish. Chisholm’s excellence extended to the basepaths, where he showcased his speed and skill by stealing three bases.

The Marlins’ offense hit its peak on Saturday, with Luis Arraez and Yuli Gurriel adding their names to the list of home run contributors next to Chisholm. This offensive explosion marked a season-high in runs, an incredible achievement considering the circumstances.

On Sunday, Jazz Chisholm Jr. was undoubtedly the standout performer once again, delivering another grand slam over two consecutive days making him the first Marlin in history to accomplish such a feat. His ability to rise to the occasion when the team needed it most was on full display. Jorge Soler, making his return from the injured list, added to the Marlins’ offensive prowess with a powerful blast.

It wasn’t just the offense that shone in this series against the Atlanta Braves; left-hander Jesús Luzardo had an outstanding performance, pitching six scoreless innings during the Marlins’ 16-2 victory on Sunday afternoon. Luzardo’s pitching brilliance complemented the Marlins’ relentless offense, creating a formidable combination and he was by far the best pitcher in the series for the Marlins.

The Marlins’ series against the Braves was nothing short of extraordinary, with a combined score of 36-13 over the three games. This remarkable feat made a resounding statement to the baseball world: the Marlins not only defeated the best team in the majors but also completed a sweep of a team that had their number.

With less than two weeks left in the regular season, the Marlins have surged back into the wild card race. Their recent victories against the Braves and Philadelphia Phillies have positioned them in a tie for the third spot in the wild card race. As the Marlins continue their playoff push, the fish have momentum and are giving their fans a reason to believe. With not quite two weeks to go before October baseball, the Marlins all of a sudden look like one of the most dangerous teams in the Majors.
