Isaiah Wong Recognized as USBWA All-District IV Honoree and USBWA All-America Honorable Mention

LifeWallet athlete and University of Miami basketball shooting guard, Isaiah Wong, made the cut for the elite USBWA (United States Basketball Writers Association) All-District IV and All-America Honorable Mention honors.

Wong is the third Hurricane in basketball program history to be granted such All-District IV honor, the prior two honorees being Sheldon McClellan during the 2015-2016 season and Shane Larkin in 2012-2013.

He is also the second Hurricane to ever garner All-America accolades from the USBWA, the first was Rick Barry in 1964-1965.

Wong averages a team-high in points (16.2), assists (3.4) and steals (1.4) per game this season. The three-time All-ACC selection is shooting 45.3 percent from the floor, 37.8 percent from three and 83.6 percent at the foul line, in addition to nabbing 4.3 rebounds per game for the 16th/15th ranked Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team (25-7, 15-5 ACC).

Wong and the fifth-seeded Miami Hurricanes will tip-off NCAA Tournament competition Friday at 7:25 P.M. EST, when they go toe-to-toe with 12th-seeded Drake University, live on the TBS Network from MVP Arena in Albany, New York.
