LifeWallet Sports athlete Isaiah Wong continues to impress and is being recognized as both the ACC Player of the Week and the Lute Olson National Player of the Week. Earlier this year Wong was placed on the Lute Olson Player of the Year Watch List.
Wong is a fourth-year junior guard who averaged 29.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in the Hurricanes past two victories. Wong is shooting 63.3% (19 of 30) from the floor, 58.3% (7 of 12) beyond the arc and 92.9% (13 of 14) at the line.
In the Hurricane victory against Cornell, Wong had a career high 36 points which was the most by a Power Six conference player this year. This was also the highest number of points by a Hurricane player in the past 15 seasons.
Wong was instrumental for the Hurricanes posting 22 points, with 5 rebounds and a career-best eight assists in Miami’s come from behind victory over NC State.
