LifeWallet athlete and University of Miami shooting guard Isaiah Wong is a finalist for the prestigious Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award.

The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nation’s top Division I player. An award winner will be presented at the end of March in Houston, which is the site of the Final Four.

The award is named in honor of Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson. Olson won 776 games in 34 seasons as a collegiate basketball head coach, 24 of those seasons were spent at Arizona with the Wildcats. He captured 11 Pac-10 Conference titles, 23 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, four Final Four appearances and the 1997 NCAAB championship.

This is the third national award to name Isaiah Wong a finalist this season, as he previously made the cut for the John Wooden Award and the Jerry West Award, in addition to Wong claiming ACC Player of the Year honors.

Wong is averaging 16.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He is shooting 45.3 percent overall from the floor, 37.8 percent beyond the arc and 83.6 percent from the foul line for No. 16/15 Miami (25-7, 15-5 ACC).
