2024 defensive lineman Tyreek’e Robinson was one of many talented prospects that attended Miami’s “Elite Prospect Day” on Jan. 21.

Robinson, who recently wrapped up his junior season at Manatee (Fla.) High School, was in contact with Miami defensive line coach Joe Salave’a leading up to UM’s recruiting event, where he was also offered by the Canes.

“I was in contact with [Salave’a] through text and we had a few phone calls, then I was invited to their prospect day and from there I was offered,” Robinson said to LifeWallet Sports.

Robinson enjoyed his first experience at UM’s campus.

“My first impression was that it was a small campus but everything is close and I like how they get everything done with practice and other stuff done in the morning so their students can focus on their classes for the rest of the day,” Robinson said. “My visit was great … I loved how they showed me they really cared about me and interacted with me and my family.”

Aside from Miami, Power Five programs like Auburn, Louisville, Colorado, Central Florida and Southern California have offered Robinson over the past month.

The 6-foot-1, 318-pound defensive lineman excels at getting off the line of scrimmage and getting a strong first strike on the opposing offensive linemen. He’s looking to improve his power moves as he continues to progress.

While Robinson has not announced a commitment date, he has an idea of what the most important factor is that he will consider when making that decision.

“The most important thing I want to see from schools during [my] recruitment is that they care about me and the hopes of me attending their school,” Robinson said. “They will call or text on a regular basis and not every once in a while.”
