The Miami Hurricanes dropped from No. 17 to No. 25 in the AP Top 25 Poll and fell out of the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll entirely on Sunday following their stunning 23-20 loss to Georgia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, last night.
Miami (4-1, 0-1 ACC), initially unranked at the start of the season, garnered 74 votes in the AP poll after receiving 589 votes last week when they were ranked No. 17 in the country.
The Hurricanes will now prepare for a conference road test as they get ready to face the undefeated No. 12 North Carolina Tar Heels (5-0, 2-0 ACC) on Saturday, October 14th. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on the ABC Network.
The Atlantic Coast Conference has four teams represented in the AP Top 25 Polls entering week 7: No. 4 Florida State (5-0, 3-0 ACC), No. 12 North Carolina (5-0, 2-0 ACC), No. 14 Louisville (6-0, 3-0 ACC), and No. 17 Duke (4-1, 1-0 ACC).
