Hurricane Baseball Ranked No. 8 in Baseball America Top 25

Hurricane Baseball opening day is right around the corner and the team has received another top-25 ranking with Baseball America announcing the Hurricanes as No. 8 in their preseason poll.

For the third time in the previous four years, Miami will begin the season ranked among the top 10. Miami also received top 10 rankings from Collegiate Baseball at No. 8 and Perfect Game at No. 9.

Six other ACC teams have been named to Baseball America’s top 25 including No. 5 Louisville, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 13 Virginia Tech, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 19 Virginia, and No. 25 NC State.

Miami ended a successful 2022 season where they led the ACC with 20 conference victories and earned its first national seed since 2016.

Miami is set to begin its fifth season under head coach Gino DiMare on February 17 against Penn State.

The 2023 Hurricanes will return 20 players, including preseason All-Americans Yohandy Morales and Andrew Walters. New additions to the roster include eight freshmen and seven transfers. LifeWallet Sports athletes this year include Yohandy Morales, Andrew Walters and Kaden Martin.
