Class of 2025 wideout Naeshaun Montgomery was one of the biggest emerging stars on the 7-on-7 circuit this past season. He played with RAW Miami and made highlight-worthy plays seemingly every tournament.

On RAW Miami, he was one of five-star quarterback Julian Sayin’s favorite targets.

“I was surrounded by a lot of good receivers, [defensive backs], coaches, everything,” Montgomery told LifeWallet Sports. “The energy was always up, so it just pushed me to be a better player.”

Montgomery took part in Miami’s Legends Camp on Thursday and was one of the standout receivers. The Cardinal Newman (Fla.) product was matched up against talented defensive backs like Booker T. Washington (Fla.) cornerback Ben Hanks Jr.

Hanks’ high school teammate and fellow 2025 defensive back Antonio Branch Jr. was also a participant.

“It was great. I played against a lot of good [defensive backs],” Montgomery said. “Overall, I had to dominate.”

Miami was one of the first Division I schools to offer Montgomery, who played quarterback earlier in his high school career, in June 2022, and the Hurricanes have remained persistent in their recruiting efforts. Montgomery mentioned that the message from UM’s coaches to him is “that I belong at [Miami] and no other school.”

Montgomery also has offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and Southern California, among others. He is expected to be one of the top wideouts in his recruiting class.
