Walters and Morales Recognized by Perfect Game as Preseason All-Americans

LifeWallet Sports athletes Andrew Walters and Yohandy Morales are being recognized by Perfect Game as Preseason All-Americans. Walters received top team honors and Morales received second-team honors.

After the 2022 University of Miami Baseball season Walters emerged as one of the top closers in collegiate baseball. Walters is a 6-foot-four, 220-pound right hander who finished last season with a 1.65 ERA, striking out 62 hitters in 32 2/3 innings. He was fifth nationally with 14 saves, which was best in the ACC.

Morales enters the 2023 Miami baseball season as a projected first round draft pick. Over the summer, the 6-foot-four, 208-pound Miami native helped Team USA Baseball bring home a bronze medal with a batting average of .400, 8 hits and 4 RBI.

During the 2022 season Morales lead the team in several offensive categories including 17 doubles, 18 home runs, 59 RBI, .650 slugging percentage, and OPS of 1.061. Morales’ batting average at .329 was third best on the Miami team.
