Monsignor Pace (Fla.) defensive lineman Wilnerson Telemaque was one of multiple highly touted local defenders at Miami’s Legends Camp on Thursday, and he enjoyed it.

“I had a lot of fun at camp. [It was a] learning experience,” Telemaque told LifeWallet Sports.
“The coaches, [defensive line coach Jason] Taylor. Me building a relationship with him. Working, doing one-on-ones, it felt good.”

Taylor has really stood out to Telemaque, as the 6-foot-5 defensive end spoke highly about the defensive line coach and the football knowledge he has as an NFL Hall of Famer.

“He knows what he’s talking [about]. Some coaches, you talk to them and you be like, ‘Oh, they might not know what they’re saying because they haven’t experienced it.’ But he knows it all,” Telemaque said. “You just got to take it all in because he knows all that experience. He’s a Hall of Famer, so you have to listen.”

The 6-foot-5 rising junior has received offers from Pittsburgh, South Florida and Florida Atlantic, among others. He’s visited UM multiple times since March and is a prospect to watch out for as he continues his high school career in the Miami area.

Telemaque visited Michigan on June 23 and mentioned that he also has plans to visit other Big Ten schools like Ohio State, Indiana and Illinois. He plans on using these trips as an opportunity to further build relationships with the coaches at these schools.

“Just meeting the coaches, because I talk to them when they come to our school. They talk to me and it’s like, ‘ok, it feels good,’ But now going to their campus and building a closer relationship, finally getting to meet [Michigan head coach Jim] Harbaugh, [Ohio State head coach Ryan] Day, all that, it feels good.”
